Peeps

Blogger is giving me a big headache and won't allow me to upload any video of any size right now, so a picture of our chicks is all I have to post. We ordered 10 chicks and they sent us 23. Luckily, we live in a rural town with very many farms where I'm sure they will find homes. We are having so much fun with them all for now!!

More Projects

I realized two weeks ago as friends of ours put their house on the market, that we will be doing the same in only a year. This house is far from ready to sell, so I decided to get busy again. The latest project has been our guest bathroom. The linoleum flooring was curling up and smelled pretty bad. The walls were sponge painted pink and blue, and the window frame had never been painted.
I tore up all the linoleum and replaced it with self-adhesive vinyl tile. I painted the walls and trim and replaced the baseboards, replaced the bent mini blinds and changed the curtain.

I'm a Pretty Pony

This is Emily's new favorite toy. Our neighbor gave it to us and she sits on it all day.

Coldness

The girls begged me to let them take Emily out to play in the snow during our first good snowfall. They got her all dressed up in her snow suit and took her out.
This is what she thought of it. The line "I can't put my arms down" comes to mind.
This morning we had an ice storm bring us just enough ice to cancel school. The girls have spent the day collecting sheets of ice. I'm not sure what they plan on doing with them.

Emily's First Birthday

While the cards are blocking her face, you can see that Emily does smile once in a while, and it seems to be Sara that brings it out every time.
She loves her new pillow pet! Melissa does, too, I guess. Or she wanted to show off her teeth.
Black-bottom cupcakes--delicious and not so messy.

Happy Birthday, Emily!!!

Fondue

The traditional cheese and chocolate fondue was a big hit, once again, in our house on New Year's Eve. Ashley was invited to the church youth's New Years Eve party and she wondered why anyone would want to celebrate that holiday away from home and the fondue. Needless to say, she chose to stay home!
