Lake Tobias

This weekend we took a trip to Lake Tobias (a zoo) about an hour away. We met Jason's brother, Shane, and his family there and had a great time once we got there. The internet map sites need to do a little updating in Pennsylvania. This isn't the first time we've gotten lost in this state. We even printed off two different sets of directions, one from the Lake Tobias site, and neither was correct. We were an hour late. Sara's favorite was definately the goats. I think she wanted to take one home. She had no problems feeding them, but finally did get mad at one when it tried to eat her hair.
Ashley really liked the miniature horses.

Hmm. Where's Rachel in all these pictures? She was scared of the goats because they had horns, so she was clinging to me the whole time.

Splash Park

It's too cold now for our swimming pool, so we went with some friends to a nearby park that had a little water spout area. It was very fun!

The Frog Walk

Not long after moving here, the girls and I went to the library. We were a little early, so we decided to take a walk to the Susquehanna, since it's only about 2 blocks from the library. As we were walking, we noticed tons of little frogs hopping all over the place. Since then, the girls have been begging me to go on a "frog walk" again, so today we did. We also strolled down Danville's main street and looked at all the fun shops.

Peach Time!!

Ok, so we like Upick farms. A lot. Here's our latest adventure picking peaches.

Once again, Sara did more eating than picking and was very sticky.
This is proof of one of the only times Melissa let fruit touch her mouth. She actually ate about 1/4 of a peach!

We picked a full bushel in about 10 minutes. Maybe we got a little carried away and I will be peeling and freezing peaches until next year, but boy are they yummy!!

I got tagged...

So I guess getting tagged means you all have to look at pictures of my house AS IS and not cleaned. Here you go.
This is my first laundry room and I love having one!!!! We plan to remove the wallpaper, change the flooring, and you can't see the ceiling that isn't finished, but that's in the plan as well.

My kitchen sink. We JUST finished breakfast, so give me a break. Nickell and Tere, I love stainless steel because it doesn't have black streaks wherever a saucepan rubbed against it. the only way to get this sink cleaned is with a magic eraser and a LOT of work. I miss my stainless steel.

My fridge.

The kids? Some were still finishing breakfast!

Really, you want to see my toilet?

My absolute favorite room in my house is my bedroom because it is twice the size of our last one (at least!) and it's just beautiful. There are two ceiling fans. That's how big it is.

This is our closet. Jason is a proffessional...he has lots of clothes. Most of mine are in my dresser.

Hi!
These are the shoes I wear everywhere, including church. I'm very much not like a girl because I don't need tons of shoes. One versatile pair is great. I do have others, they just don't get worn a lot.

Dream vacation...New Zealand. Do I really need to explain why?

Blueberry Time

Jason was working last night, so for Family Home Evening, I took the girls blueberry picking.
Sara enjoyed eating them, but she would spit ot the skins whense was finished. That was messy!
Here we are at Split Rock Blueerry Farm. That bowl is holding 5 quarts of blueberries.

New Pest

Just when I thought we were done with pests, we have discovered an infestation of this, the "house centipede". I found several of them dead in the basement when we moved in and didn't think much of it, but Rachel has found two very much alive and well on our main floor. The second one she found on her and I've never heard her scream so loud in my life. They are about 2 inches long, extremely fast, and just plain gross. They eat other insects and are not poisonous, so I guess that's a good thing, but you can bet I will keep the bug spray handy!! Anyone want to come for a visit??
