After the election results yesterday (which did not come as a surprise, but still a disappointment), I needed my kids. They had the day off of school today, so we left the world behind to immerse ourselves in some of God's beautiful creations. I wish we could pack up a few things and find a secluded place in the forest to live out the rest of their lives where no influence of the world will ever find them. Unfortunately, that is not the Lord's way. I have to teach them to be strong and to know who they are. But for today, I just needed to be with them.

What a beautiful place. I completely understand your need. That's what my family does when we hate the way the world has to be. It makes me so happy to see my kids enjoy natural wonder without gimics and advertisement in their face all the time. I love the picture with the girls holding hands. It is beautiful.
I'm sure glad the plan included us having families - they really make things better in so many ways! Be happy. Even the world that will come from this election is part of the plan. God is in the Heavens and all is well.
How beautiful, indeed! Glad you and the kids got "away" for a little while. Yes, I, too, am saddened by the outcome...but I have to remember that this is part of His plan. We just need to continue praying that the Lord changes Obama's heart.
Okay, that last picture needs to be framed, for sure!
Um yeah thats what Im thinking! I love that picture!
What a good mom you are and what a neat family you have. I agree with you on the world. What a scary time it is right now. Sometimes you just need to get away with the ones you love so much. I love that the girls love each other so much. The picture of them holding hands is priceless. I hope they stay that way until they are old. It reminds me of me and my sisters. Sisters are the greatest thing ever! Keep those girls close!
Great post! Cute pictures...I love the leaves!
What an adorable family! You're doing exactly what you should be to shield your children from the ugliness of the world. Now, you gotta tell me where these pics were taken so I can go there too!
Yes, I agree with everyone else. Fantastic photos!
